I have Photoshop so I guess what I am asking, is where is the best place to buy graphics to make nice logos. I have searched all over and getting frustrated.

I know there has to be someplace to buy this :)

Good logos don't use other's graphics. You make them yourself. What was the point of buying Photoshop if you don't intend to do that?

Ya, tried that, tried many places, tired of just looking, just want to buy something to have here. For the little icons to add to a logo....after I do all the other art part. Since I can't draw :)

If it is for Logos I would personally use Illustrator. It is much better to get into the hang of working with fully vector things like this because most people would prefer a vector logo off a pixelated one if they had the same design anyway :)

I get your message. But you need to pay for such icon collections. Why not try stock icons from iStockphoto? They can be perfect as logo objects.

Though: I would prefer drawing even basic shapes if you are new for the logo. Because the logo has to be unique. Anyway, you can do fine with icons if you master the text artwork.

    Good luck,.

Logos should be made in a vector program like adobe illustrator. 99% of my clients request an eps vector file of their logo.

The EPS is then used to stationary, advertising etc so vector is always best to work with for a decent logo :)

I found illustrator hard when I first used it but you learn :)

Indeed. Many clients would request EPS. A vector version of the logo for print, and offline use too. But sometimes you can make logos in photoshop. Not the professional way though.

Currently just using Photoshop for quick logo types. No need for print, etc. I have used Illustrator in the past.
Thanks to all for their feedback.

Most professionals at graphic work with photoshop draw the graphics themselves. Rarely do graphic artists take other's work unless they need a still life photo of some sort

Surely most pros would use Illustrator for logos?

I would have thought Photoshop is more for web graphics?
