    Wordpress is a good one, and Joomla and Drupal also come to mind. But the best CMS depends on what you intend to do with it. What sort of site are you looking for?

    I think drupal has one major thing running against it and that is lack of good themes. You talk of some decent options anf developers start quoting nort of USD 40k for simeple design while you can get something neat and good running in wordpress as less as USD 200.

    Wordpress is democratic and gives power to you without the fact if you are techie or not while with drupal you have to be techie.
