Could any DP members here review my directory (http://blogannounce.info) and give me some solid solutions to how I could improve the CTR. I sometimes get high CTR but quite a no. of days I get none. My website gets about 400 pageview a day (which I know isn't that much but still). If you could give any suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

Basically you need to continue working hard on your site building up back links etc, the site is very cleanly presented, but I think that if it was my site I would re-consider the ads as I dont think they will benefit you long term.

Personally I would turn it into paid only, and take the ads off, and replace that block with an original content block that you refresh with new content at least 1 time a day

But hey that is only my opinion:) by the way I used have office in HK, all HK'ers work hard you can make it a very good site, good luck

Thanks for the tips and I would consider all your suggestions. I would say that I am now most desperately waiting for the next PR update so that people would really trust our directory. Our site has a many back links as stated in Google (though I know we still have to work very hard to get more.)

HKers are indeed very hardworking and will persist until we get want we want. =)

By the way, I might consider adding paid listings later, right after my PR has increased. So that people will think they pay for value.
