Just curious if anyone has contracted someone to write an E-book for them in the past? Did they charge a flat rate? What would you expect to pay for a 40 page E-book?

also, did you draw up a contract for them to sign? and where do you find available e-book authors?

    thanks all :)

    For a 40 page e-book I've paid $250.

Post your project on elance, check out the writers credentials and all their bids and pick one you find most appropriate and skilled for your e-book within your budget.

    Hope this helps,

    Pete

Write the ebook yourself. You know how to use MS word? Type a word doc and then convert to PDF. Such programs only cost $20. And then you upload the PDF to your server and your done.

I was thinking about writing it myself but its going to take some time to research the subject and I'd rather spend that time getting some sites together while someone does that part of the legwork.

I'll check out elance today, thanks

Nah as I wanted to tweak it a bit first, but most will convert it to a PDF for you, else you can download free PDF converters and do this yourself.
