Best platform for multi-blog hosting portal?

    Hi,

    I am looking to start a free multi-blogging portal for a niche market.

    Which platform would you recommend using?

    As for free a free platform, I would think Wordpress MU is pretty good? Or is there an even better one that you can get free/cheap?

    Wordpress is kind of "hard" to get to know for inexperienced users, and something similar to blogger.com might be better to start off with?

    Wordpress is not so hard. I managed to teach my gf in 2 days how to get her food blog running. At first point I said the same, nah girl, is too hard. But it is not. There are alot of tutorials, discussion about this platform and this will help people. Also alot of plugins and so on.

    Use blogger and wordpress.Google loves blogger in Seo terms and with wordpress it is very simple, just google for information about uploading, themes, plugins and you will get the hang of it.
