Best social networking for marketing purposes?

For marketing purposes, producing a Facebook group is the best way since it will get lots of fans

 

I would say Facebook Page is more effective then face book group for some reason. Off course Twitter is next to facebook for B2B marketing. But still a way to go to catch MySpace and FB, but I would assume it would give it some padding over the next batch of sites. Don't forget youtube could be killer too. I am using Linked as active.For me the best one is Linked In for marketing as corporate.

 

facebook and twitter is best as they provides product huge exposure..my feeds and tweets..

i was thinking on business promotion not like using social networks for marketing purposes but a site where its all about business and nothing else like a targeted market

 

Depends on your product and site.

If your site is interesting/fun/entertaining, stumbleupon can bring you a lot of traffic that wil snowball as more viewers give you the thumbs up.

Digg is similar.

I've spent a lot of time on Facebook with out much to show for it but that could be due to my technique and product.

It depends on what you publish in these networks. If your content is interesting, then probably you'll get good credits from both Facebook and Twitter. Digg is not a social network but a social bookmarking site. Sometimes Digg's results can be impressive.

Both Twitter and Facebook are good venue for marketing as long as you are consistent and engaging in the conversation.

I own a service company and I advertised on facebook received 84 clicks but none turn into JOBS. I wonder why, is facebook good for local service company. by the way I own a painting company.
