I believe your query is one of the commonest web marketing questions for business and personal site owners alike. I'm not an expert on traffic and web business but three things I keep in mind when working my humble blogs is this:

(1) Which "social networking site" brings me traffic but no earning (read 'clicks')?
(2) Which "social networking site" brings me only traffic
(3) Which "networking site" is unproductive for my website/blog?

Some might say it is a matter of taste; some may pitch the SEO angle; some might even put it down to sheer hard work. The truth is (at least according to my humble understanding) one has to

(1) Priortize
(2) Optimize and
(3) Utilize.

Let me put it this way. I have a small blog where I blog about mobile devices and gadgets. I barely know anything but i just write down whatever small thing I know. I'm grateful to receive some few thousand page-views on my posts and articles a day. Now what are my "marketing strategies"?

Well, I find that Twitter and Facebook brings in BIG TRAFFIC. BUT I also notice that the traffic from Facebook or REDIT don't seem to make me that much of money when compared to the earning the traffic from STUMBLEUPON brings me.

Likewise, I get quite a lot of traffic from organic search (Google, particularly). And the earning from organic-search-traffic is way much higher than what Stumbleupon gives me. I hope what I'm trying to say is starting to make sense to you.

So here it is:

Do you want traffic from Facebook/Twitter? Yes.
But no, at least in my small experience, Facebook won't bring in shoppers.

But remember twitter and Facebook might bring you traffic but there are mostly curiosity-based traffic - not visitors who are actually looking for things to but. But they (mostly) visit because they found an article or blog of interest on their Facebook feeds.

Do you want traffic that actually makes you money? Yes.

What i normally do is this: When I'm selling something, I choose to promote it only in places that actually have people who are looking for something: For example Amazon reviews or ebay reviews. Write a review and you have a link there that brings in traffic (from Amazon or ebay etc). Of course they are not "social networking" sites but its business, isn't it?

In other words (please excuse my lengthy reply) one has to first identify your goal (traffic or earning or Traffic+Earning) for your business and then, push your goal by targeting the sites that either give you traffic or earning and/or both. Prioritize, study your traffic behavior, which site brings you users that clicks on your ads or buy your products etc.

Yet again, users' behavior may vary from site to site, product to product. What works for me won't necessarily work for you. However trying to understanding the traffic and users' niche would help your business. All the best

In my knowledge facebook has much traffic among social network. So facebook is perfect for business.

 

I would say Facebook, Twitter and of course google plus (Still I haven't used it). My friends got good results using google plus.

All of them - but the best way to find out is to test all of them and to measure the results of each. Focus on what works.

Facebook and Twitter. Although you can't post direct ads on Twitter, unlike on Facebook, you can just hire someone with a million followers to do it for you.

LinkedIn - This is the #1 social business site
Facebook - This is a great site to buy ads, you can get very targeted
Twitter - This is a great way to interact with your clients
Google+ - no one really uses it, but google thinks it's good

Pinterest and youtube are also good if you're trying to promote a business that has great images or video

 

If you want to promote your business then its Facebook otherwise for real business consideration LinkedIn is the best and gets you more exposure more than anything else.
