    I suggest Photoshop for all graphic needs. Learn from help files and google search for tutorials on Photoshop tools. Learning one tutorial per day is right way to learn any graphich software. Learn how to code html on notepad before you handle Dreamweaver. :)

    photoshop = $649
    gimp = $0
    buying and using an overpriced program when there's one that can do the same thing for free = retarded.

    Photoshop is King of the graphics universe. Not because I use it, because it's fact.

    Many people think gimp is just as good as photoshop but it's a myth. I've used both. Nothing comes close to photoshop.

    Other Design & Coding needs are fully met with Macromedia Studio 8 (Includes Dreamweaver, King of HTML editors)

    MS Frontpage is quirky and will add or subtract code without asking.

    NVU is a decent free HTML editor.

    Just my thoughts, worth about 2 cents.
