Best thing about being a webmaster?

Whats the best thing about being a webmaster in your view? For me it's going some where like the internet cafe and seeing people on your website, it is a great feeling!

 

Do you own eBay? What are the chances of walking into a local internet cafe and seeing someone on your site? They have to be a million to one.

lol This gives me a great idea. From now on every time I go to an internet cafe I will set the home page on all computers to my site.

I am not sure that there are too many webmasters who own poultry farms.

I always change the homepages at GCI the local cable company whenever I go there to pay my bill.... which is now the only way I pay it for that reason alone. It's amazing how many people go there on a daily basis and use those computers. I've gained a lot of new users in this method. I also use the library, put up backgrounds on the computers at Circuit City, Wal Mart, Sears, etc... hahaha

 

the good thing is you can fulfill your happiness in managing the site you have.

 

I can work when I want.

I don't have to call in if I am sick.

I don't have to schedule off days...though I do anyway.

 

I do own a poultry farm. But i dont find those chicks attractive.

 

I goto sleep late, Wake up late.
I dont have to lift boxes, I dont have to smile while giving you food.
I dont have to kiss ass or F@*# my boss in the @&# for a promotion, or to keep my job.
I didnt have to get a medical degree or wear a suit to live a really good life.

 

Chances are very few. But, I launched a local website around 4 years back. It was a community website for chat, classifieds, mail and other info about the city. I could see people in local cafes logged onto my website. It was good to see.

 

I like the money, making my own hours and helping people the best.

 

I just mainly enjoy it. Also the money is quite nice.

 

Making money for yourself instead of some stupid, piece of trash corporation that underpays you and treats you like trash. Thats what I find appealing about being a webmaster.

 

Same, I can work when I'm inspired without having to go to some office ...

 

My website gets around 60k unique hits a day, 90 odd percent from uk. It was just a random event, I'm sure it won't happen again but meh!

 

OMG. how much revenue did you generate on that single day ?

 

I lose money, it's a free service without adverts (Atm)`
