    Hey there,

Well I think it's going to be impossible to ask for the best web browser and exclude firefox/chrome. Statistically speaking, these are the leaders in the web browser field.

By what criteria are you trying to judge a browser?
Beyond Firefox/Chrome, there is Safari, which has its own perks. I like the new tab page and how it displays your websites. Other than that, it provides limited features from Chrome, which has limited functions compared to Firefox but has a great responsive DOM.

Opera is also an availability, but as a Linux user, I've found multiple distros that have had issues with Opera and it's lack of functionality has turned me off to it.

Here is a list of alternatives you can try, I hope it helps:

I'm not sure about the point in your question (best is subjective and you exclude what I consider the "best"). On Linux, I quite like w3m and Konqueror (KHTML, where WebKit came from).

Hard to say which is best. I think it depends on the person who uses it. You have to compare yourself. I prefer Firefox, maybe out of habit.

Chrome is the best by far, although i still like to use Firefox for debugging and such when i can.. Internet Explorer is basically a wash.

Google Chrome. The Inspect Element feature is very useful for developers. The pagespeed measurement tool is very useful to see how your site can be sped up.

It is able to link with Android Google Chrome and share pages.

Very fast and well supported. Overall a great product.

I use both Firefox and Chrome at the same time. Somethings Chrome can do better while other things Firefox does better. It just depends on what I am using my computer for.

Firefox. It was awarded the best web browser of 2012 mainly because they choose to hide all of your private information and not give it to companies. I'm guessing Google Chrome and IE do that.

No better web browser than Chrome and Firefox. Excluding them is like talking of smartphone without mentioning Apple and Samsung.
