beware of so called yahoo promotions!

I singed up for a so called promotion at yahoo search marketing, the payperclick. the promotion was - open an account with 60 British pounds and get 60 more free. after many days i noticed that i never got 60 pounds free! when i wrote them they added them immediately though - how can they be so cheap, just hunting for people who will forget about it.
that was not the worst part - then all of sudden the minimum bid for my keywords became triple (to theor actual minimum that i know of from my previous non promotional account...) ! so they inflate their actual bids to get their 60 pounds back and even more.
ok, now i have reached the worst part - i was not very pleased when i saw with my own eyes my ads shown here in USA although i target UK only (where by the way clicks are far more expensive in any industry...). needless to say my ad was on the top cos they forced to put their probably top bid as my minimum!
the geo targeting report doesn't work for my account mysteriously.
when i wrote to the support team i got a standard irrelevant letter for a reply urging me to use their geo report...
    it's a shame for Yahoo...

I also had a similar experience with YSM. I signed up through a $50 dollar promotion link with my web hosting company. However, there was no mention of the promotion when i got to the YSM website and after much effort, i still have not been able to convince them to give me the $50 credit to my acct.

Are you sure you followed the link correctly? I would contact them.

Sounds suspicious to me. When I signed up for YSM through a promotion, I didn't receive my credit. However, when I emailed them they soon credited it too me. I didn't see an increase in bids. But then again I'm pretty new to AM and probably wouldn't catch that.

i totally agree i use adwords and get exactly what i want from them,i joined yahoo not long ago waited ages to be approved and now i am approved i dont get any impressions or clicks and i have the same keywords in adwords reaching a six figure amount in impressions.
I have paused my ad and demanded my money back if they ignore my request i will have to go through paypals claim option which i have used before to great effect.
