Black Friday Web Traffic Crashing Website

How do you guys prepare yourselves for Black Friday? Our company usually hosts 40-50% sales but whenever we promote that on our website, it just crashes, usually on Black Friday. Does anyone have any suggestions to prevent this? I have thought in getting a queuing system or something to manage our web traffic instead of risking it once more this time. Does anyone have any app suggestions for this? Also, I've just encountered this: https://intechnica.com/how-to-maximise-online-revenue-on-black-friday-2017/ , seems like this company kinda does that but I haven't heard of them before. Still signed up for the webinar anyways since it might help. Please let me know if anyone has had similar issues or suggestions for keeping our website online during heavy web traffic.

What software do you use for your website and what sort of hosting setup are you on?

You can optimize your Apache configuration file, see httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/misc/perf-tuning.html

Also consider load balancing if you can afford it.
