    Hi all,

    I add adsense link ads to my blog. Although My site is only for boosting page ranks. But the link ads are all for blog. How to avoid this?

    1) Add more content
    2) Take out as many references to "blog", "blogging", etc... as you can on your blog. If you do a keyword density analyis, you may be surprised how many times the word blog shows up on your page.
    3) Wait... When you first put adsense on your page, it looks at the domain name especially for clues as to which ads to present. So if you're on blogger for instance, it's taking that as a big clue as to what your content is going to be about. Also, sometimes it takes up to two weeks for adsense to look for changes. If you make changes 1 and 2 it's going to take time for the adsense bot to come back and figure out what ads you really want targeted.
    4) Use section targetting and target your posts.

    Those blog ads are a pain, I get them non stop :(. I have tried everything, maybe I need to do some more of step 3 :(

    I started a blog (below) just for the fun of it, a warts and all look at me building my website, but I put AdSense on it just to get experience dealing with AdSense. I rarely if ever use the word 'blog' in the posts, but I use words like 'web site' and 'content' a lot. (This isn't intended keyword density, I just write naturally with absolutely no thought to Google bots.)

    But the ad blocks that come up seem to be of two varieties: two ads about 'China' and 'Energy', or 4 ads about blogging.

    The blog name, adosensu, makes no sense to Google. But a scan of the page ought to reveal some relevant keywords, no problem.

    Like I said, I'm not intending to make any money from the blog, but it could be useful to me to experiment with AdSense. But it seems like the really obvious keywords are being ignored...

    Edit: OK now there's an ad for a Paris Hilton CD! WTF! And only 2 ads, that's the part I really don't get. At least put 4 ads, even if they're PSA's or something.
