Buying Blog Content

I am in the process of putting together a blog on the subject of web directories, which includes general directories as well as topical, regional and blog directories, niche directories, and other models of online directories that I may not be thinking of at the moment.

While I will be doing some of the writing myself, my time is a bit tight at the moment, yet I’m anxious to get started with it.

I am interested in:

• 250-500 word articles
• 500-1000 word articles

Articles should be original, researched, and well-written, preferably by someone who is already familiar with the subject but if your product gives me the impression that you are familiar with the subject, that’s just as good.

Articles may be attributed to you or to a pen name if you prefer, as I have no interest in pretending that I am the author of something that I did not personally write.

If you are proud of your work, you may feel free to refer to it as a reference at some future date, but do not republish it elsewhere.

At this point, it will be a new blog, so it is unlikely to have any SEO advantages. You may include links but only if they enhance the value of the article.

Attributed articles will not be edited without the consent of the author, but may be returned for editing or rejected if they contain grammatical or spelling errors. Non-attributed articles may be edited if I consider it necessary.

The subject of the blog will be web directories, and it is intended to be promotional in nature, although I do not wish to ignore any of the several problems that exist within and without the industry. In other words, I may be interested in publishing articles that reflect negatively on the industry, but only if I can balance them out in favor of the industry.

Articles should focus on a clear topic, one that will be readily apparent to both human and arachnoid visitors. As long as it relates, in some discernible manner, to web directories, authors may choose their own topics. When in doubt, ask first.

To begin with, I would be publishing the articles. In the event that a long-term relationship results, authors may be permitted to publish their own content, but I am not promising a long-term relationship.

I will consider new or experienced authors, as long as they know the subject and can write well. Although I'm anxious to get started, there is no hard timeline.

Thanks everyone. I have received several responses that I'll be looking through right now, and contacting people individually. While I will likely need additional writers in the future, I have more than enough to start with right now. Again, thanks.
