To be honest, never heard about it before, so I don't know what would be the best strategy for promoting that business, but I would say that you should try to make some strategy, analyze and see do you even have competitors for this in your market, research keywords and queries that could be adequate for this business, and so on.

 

There is always a market for everything, even if the OP is the only customer.

 

I have not been to a trade show since early 2020 (just before the Great Panic was launched), but I did occasionally see promotional bottle openers with the company's logo being given out at a few trade booths when I did attend. The funny thing is that I have come home with them and then never seen them again as we apparently have little use for them in the house. The beer drinkers who visit, however, always need one, so we have one hanging on the "beer fridge" just for them. Not sure how popular they would be, in general, these days.

 

I believe that it's quite a good strategy actually, but not these days. Nowadays people use glass bottles of water or beer for example, however you should remember that today there is a real issue with glass bottles. Green community believes that glass things make lots of harm to the nature and thusit might be the reason for global warming, because glass is being decomposed for several years and it doesn't bring anything for the nature. If we speak about various banana peels for instance, the of course they are decomposed and feed the soil. So, if we consider this business scheme from all this green buzz, then it's not a great business model.

 

Duh, glass comes from SAND and decomposes back to SAND. In other words, glass is NEUTRAL to the environment, neither helping nor hurting the environment. Only an ignoramus believes otherwise.

 

Not so fast there professor. Because of the chemical process used to make sand into glass, it will take 4,000 years for glass to fully decompose.

 

And how does that negate what I stated? It does not matter how long it takes, the end result is the same.

A truly stupid statement.....thousands of tons of glassware in the eco system for 4,000 years. Yet you state that the "end result" is the same. Please go back to high school, and this time try and graduate.

 

I think bottle openers are not in demand at present. you can start with something other in which you have an interest.

You need to think it over and write several options.

 

I think without it, nowhere, you need to come up with a cool design.

I think its nearly 20 years ago, I designed a bottle opener that fitted on the dot that is on top of a standard cap. I still think its a good idea, but Im telling you now, its not worth the time, effort, and hassle to go through design, development and production.

So when do I get to visit?

 

LOL, I suggest that we wait until the warmer months. Really cold and nasty up here in New England, these days.
