Building a Site that is Not Searched For

I am making a unique investment information site. However, when using one of the keyword tools from Digital Point that tests how often keywords for your site are searched for, my keywords had few results. The keywords from my site were searched for about 20 times a day.

I still think I can generate traffic to the site because I know of many people that could use the information, and the keywords generate adds on Adsense.

Is it ok to build a site that is not commonly searched for? I think having a niche is good but I don't want to build a site where there appears to be no search demand.

    Thanks
    Matt

Niche sites are just as good as general sites. Because your traffic is so targetted you can expect high conversion rates and overall interest in your content.

Sure, if you can make people search for it why not. I'm starting something similar, it is not searched for a lot maybe once a day according to the suggestion tool but I have talked to a lot of people who would like the idea, so all you need is that lot of people to spread it to their friends, have someone talk about it and that will generate interest. If you think it is something you like and can devote time to, go for it!

Did you try overture keyword tool?If you cant find a concentrated word you should try for something at least related to your category . This way they might be interested if they click on over to your site
