Business Ratings Website, will it rub businesses the wrong way with customer reviews?

I am thinking about creating a niche business ratings site similar to insiderpages dot com. But in creating this, do you think that businesses would be reluctant to to become sponsers for their listing? I know there will be negative reviews. I am looking more for people to talk versus the businesses themselves.

Any input would help and if you know of a reviews script, please post.

If your customers have a good business and treat their customers well, they shouldn't be afraid of negative reviews.

I have a business review site. My advice is to go for it and not worry about the businesses becoming sponsors. In my opinion it is better to get sponsors of products related to the businesses. For example, a review site about hair salons could get sponsored by a haircare products company. That way you will have a more reliable income stream if there are negative reviews.
