Buttons vs. Skyscrapers

Discussion in 'Placement / Reviews / Examples' started by Twan, Jun 1, 2006.

Would I be making more having Buttons under my text (http://www.ringercentral.com - example) or putting a big long skyscraper under the text.

I would think no one knows this sort of thing, because it would vary by Google. But I could be wrong!

    Thanks!

not only it varies because of Google changing things, the most important variable is your site content and page layout.

I'd guess because there isn't much content, button would be the better choice. If there was enough content in the right tab to match a skyscraper ad in height, I'd guess skyscraper would be more of an eye-catcher.

At the end of the month, only you can tell which one works better for your very own website. Google gives you CTR figures, use them!

I actually think you'd make more if you took off both ads and then place a lone 336 large rectangle where the half-banner currently is. You may also want to experiment with the link color; maybe make the link black instead of the customary blue. Experiment with this for a week, see how it goes.
