Buying a dedicated server (RDP) don't know where to start !

hello guys
i want to buy a dedicated server (RDP)
basically i need it for live streaming , also i will use editing softwares like camtasia (it doesn't need too much RAM) so it could be just a Core i7 with at least 8GB or 10GB of RAM, 1Tb or 2TB HDD , and of course Windows !
the upload speed is really important + the bandwith (so many companies make the speed slower when it reaches a certain stage)
can you please tell me a good company, i don't know which one is better for me , my budget will go up to 60$ a month !

Your budget is low. You need to increase your budget to get server with Windows OS.

 

Your budget is extremely low for the hardware configuration you have specified. Raising your budget to say $120-130 may be doable, however, a little more even would not hurt. Windows licenses don't come cheap, and you're not going to get away with an illegitimate copy of Windows with any hosting provider. If you refresh your budget, I am sure that something could be done for you.

 

@fettah901 I'd just add that it not doable. A project like yours would require a monthly budget of $600, not $60. There are some companies who offer unreasonably low pricing of dedicated server, so you;d probably find a server like that one you need for $200, but you'd not expect much as you'd get cheap bandwidth and the quality of the stream would be low.

The Windows license itself would cost you around US$30 - 40 / mo.
While the hardest part of your requirements is the quality of bandwidth. For video streaming, there is a must for a quality bandwidth.
There are descent providers there around, with Cogent or HE carrier in their blend. Besides they will 'capped' if you are too many bandwidth for streaming.
So the only choices, would be to raise your budget. But, I believe there is no better teacher in this world as good as EXPERIENCES. So, try it yourself. I don't know if I can name down some of the providers here (I'll write it down if you asked for, of course).

PS: Not all dedicated provider offer you a good display card for you to edit or run video application.

You can get nice dedicated servers at rareservers.com. Their website is professional and straightforward; they report the facts clearly and intelligently.

For $60/mo you can get a decent VPS from us and it will suit most of your requirements. Windows? what for? Linux OS will do the job greatly.

You going to need to raise your budget - But Contabo is probably a good start.
