Well, HostGator rocks...if you have the budget, go for the aluminium package.
Check some HostGator Coupons and Reviews by DP users if interested.

    I Recommended Servage.net.
I have use it too, until now.
They offer 250 GB space & 2100 GB monthly data transfer, you can pay it via paypal, credit card, bank transfer, etc.

Yes. 1&1 is a very popular company, especially after they offered hosting for free for 2 years.

I can't say much about their customer service but you might wanna do a search on them.

Sounds like you have been a victim of the disappearing webhosting provider.
Me too  would not reccomend servage.net as a hosting provider in 4 months had over 50 server down times..so like you Im looking for another hosting provider. If you find a good one, will you PM me please.

You can list your website / business on www.tradersreview.co.uk
It's FREE to all UK businesses with or without a website.
A small insertion fee (£3 per image) if you add images to the listing.

Theres also a free community directory for all none profit making groups.

Dreamhost is recommended if you're looking for shared, I've had bad experiences with a lot of companies but Dreamhost has been brilliant. Using the coupon code:DPCOUPON gives you a decent discount for memory.

For those of you considering Bluehost.com, you may want to check out HostMonster.

They're the same company, but HostMonster offers unlimited domains and is $1 cheaper per month. I've been with Bluehost for two years with a dozen domains and I only have good things to say about them.

godaddy is my choice. I have over 20 sites hosted and over 50 domains in two seperate account with them.
My goaddy tip. when you buy a new domain always get a two month hosting with it. the domains cost 1.99 and the hosting is few bucks a month and your total ends up like 12 dollars and change and you have 2 months of hosting and a new domain. I think that's that a great deal. If you just buy domain its 8.99.. Save people.... :)

I've use hostmonster and godaddy both are excellent.

I also use Global Domains International but there really for novices who don't won't to evolve beyond basic web design.

I think apart from what you listed, you should also consider which company has a good support.
