Can anyone tell me which software created this image?

    Hi everyone,

Can anyone give me some advice about which type of graphic design software is best for creating this sort of image/illustration below? I know there are probably many different companies producing graphic design software and so if anyone has any ideas they will all be welcome.

    Many thanks

Theres an endless list of answers to that question.

Get your hands on Adobe Photoshop and start there.

It's like a bodybuilder not wanting to do the "hard" exercises because he doesn't like them, do you think he will become big? :p
Every job has the right tools, photoshop is the right tool for graphics: either you learn it, or your graphics will always be inferior to photoshop wizards, or you won't find enough plugins, or tips etc
I learned this the hard way (been using the GIMP for well over a year)

    Thanks Forumrating and kendothpro,

Is it necessary to buy the actual photoshop package itself or can i just buy photoshop elements 5?

And i have heard of products like adobe illustrator? Would it be suitable to design this type of image as well?

    Many thanks

Elements would get your started, there are some restrictions in it. Illustrator is like a vector based version of Photoshop, more often used for creating things from scratch, logos and such.

Photoshop can do it all if your use it properly.

If your budget does not allow purchasing Photoshop then Elements is a good place to start.
If budget is not and issue than get Photoshop.

Having used them all, I would again recommend you start with Photoshop.

Last I checked Adobe was offering 30 day trials for most of their software. Maybe you can try them all and make decision.

    Thanks KMB40

Im on a tight budget now and so it wont quite stretch to buying the full photoshop package but buying photoshop elements 5 seems like a good idea and i will also try to trial versions as 30 days will give me some time to get used to the software.

    Many thanks

if you want my honest opinion, i think that was created with spray paint on a wall, then someone took a picture of it.

    Hi Mitcharr and everyone else,

I have looked at the actual pic and i do not think that someone has created this graffiti on a physical wall and then photographed it as it looks like something that was designed on a graphic design software package. Does anyone know of any graphic design software package including photoshop or any other one where they have graffit fonts? And where they can create this spray paint affect?

    Many thanks

well the fonts you would have to download. then you could probably trace the letters with spray brush or a airbrush of some sort

Anyone that wants to do serious graphics uses Photoshop, but the price is prohibitive. Elements is a good alternative and comes free with certain peripherals, and Paint Shop Pro is a cheap option (but nowhere near as good as the real thing!) If you're a student you can get Photoshop at a greatly discounted price, and once you get to know it it's not hard to pick up either.

It's made on Photoshop. But the vector effects are given by some illustrative tools! and then Photoshop
