Advertising (learn more)

Advertise virtually anything here, with CPM banner ads, CPM email ads and CPC contextual links. You can target relevant areas of the site and show ads based on geographical location of the user if you wish.

Starts at just $1 per CPM or $0.10 per CPC.

Can I do this.

Well after working all day yesterday, with my limited html knowledge, I finally changed some settings to make my links look like ads. I was wondering, since these ads are underneath the links, is this a violation under the TOS?
Also where else should I place ads?
I have a blog but I can't place a link yet.
Thanks
Oh nvm, underneath my name is my blog.

Please read Programme Policies about labelling ads. I'd suggest you ensure there's a separator. I use

to put a line between ads an content in my blog's sidebar. But this is dependent upon the blogspot template, so it might not work for you. Otherwise just put enough space between the links and ads and label the ads appropriately.

Ok thanks I placed a Sponsered Ads segment above the ads.
Now I have 2 sites, both listed on google and some other sites, ones fpiran.blogspot.com and the others oilrig.blogspot.com. Now my deliema is this, FPIran gets some visitors from all over and returning ones at that but the ads are irrelevant and I can only have 2 on the site, oilrig gets few visitors also, but relevant ads. There both news sites but I've seen many many sites that could easliy destroy my sites casue there so good and quite popular. So I'm wondering like what would be the best course of action? Should I drop one site and only work hard on the other (being oilrig) or should i try to optimise my other site and work with both.
Like I don't know what keywords to use with Iran, so what should I do?
Thanks again for the response.

Click "Tools" and then use the "Keyword suggestions" search box to search for Iran. This will show you what people are (popularly) searching for. This might also help you get more targeted ads. Try Section Targeting, too, so that the focus is on your posts rather than any other surrounding text.

Grand, I found the tool I was looking for it was with Overture and listed all the ads for a keyword, sadly iran came up with 3 results hah. But I'll try section targetting, and when i tried soem tool it said the most common words on my site were, like blog or comment and none of my normal keywords such as Iran or America so I'll mess around with that but thanks again for your help.
