Can someone help me with WordPress?

Hi,

I just installed a WordPress in my site, I have never used WordPress before in my life, I hated it but currently an project made me to install and work on it.

For start I have installed this theme:

But now I see when I post long post with many characters the complete goes On.. It does not seperate after xxx characters .. and showing the button Read More or something..

Could someone help me about this or not ?

Go into your post and you will have 2 versions [Visual and HTML]. Click HTML and click where you want the break to be in the content. Next click the icon that says "more" and you should be good to go with a nice part in your post including a read more option. I hope this works for you.

 

change your theme because i alreally knew that problem

 

There are two ways of doing it:

1. Edit or create a new post, but switch to "HTML" instead "Visual" Tab. Then anywhere you want to display read more button, you can type <!--more-->

2. Or if you are not into that html code tab, please see this pic, the 3 pics to the left from the red highlighted icon, which looks like breaking lines, click on that, you will get read more button too.
