Can someone review my site?

    Hi everyone,

I just started this site 2 weeks ago. The wide rectangle ads below my post title on my front page has some problem on it, it seems that the ads and my new post never integrated with each other, example: i post about Christmas but the ads come out with photoshop. Can any please review it and give me some idea of how i can improve my ads placement?

    My site: http://d-extreme.blogspot.com

    Thanks for the time

Use <!-- google_ad_section_start --> and <!-- google_ad_section_end --> to indicate the relevant content, so you will get relevant ads. Sometimes it might take a while before you will actually see relevant content. Sometimes it takes only a few minutes, sometimes hours.

The big rectangle, I would try to blend it in your articles. Also, to get relevant content make good use of titles, bold letters and headers!

Only other thing I can think of is the domain name. Don't use a blogspot domain name, get one that fits in with your context.

Blend your ads. It's encouraging to see that you're not using a border but you should ensure that the title, description and URL of your ads all fit in with your site's theme. This should (fingers crossed) improve your CTR, making your ads seem more like content and less like advertisements.

I agree with some of what the others have said. I think you need to blend your ads with your content a little more and maybe not use the borders. I also think that you need a little more text and less images - I'm not really sure about some of the images too...

Excellent start though so keep going. Look at other peoples blogs - mine is the opposite in that it has no pictures and too much text... but I need to work on that ;)

    Good luck.

Your placement isn't the worst I've seen but you're still using the default color values. You have two options, either blend your ads in with your content or draw attention to your ads with bright colors. The majority of people opt to blend their ads in with their site making them appear to be content rather than advertisements.

Much better. The only thing I'd suggest now is that you have an awful lot of ads so consider removing some of them. There is such a thing has having too many ads and I think your blog might be suffering from just that. Is it really necessary to have a large TLA banner after each blog post?

I definitely agree. There are far too many ads. How many of them actually make money? If they're not pulling an income stream, remove them to focus readers attention on the money spinners. I found it difficult to focus on your actual content given the amount of advertising....so it probably wouldn't encourage return visits.

    Good luck!:)

ps - your profile picture was cute:p

I agree as well. I don't see any content without scrolling. Think visitors first, income second. Visitors create your income after all - they should get what they came for (and it isn't ads). I'd just ditch the add right in between the first title and the first post. That way you have one add-unit visible when people come to your site, and another visible if they scroll down.

I would remove "Click here to read more!", although it is a link, it draws undue attention to the ads.
