I re-designed my homepage for my website.

    http://customizepsp.co.uk/

Personall I am happy with how the ads are, but its not my opinion tat maters, its what will get the most clicks and generate the most revenue. So far I have had 1,690 impressions and 1 click, generating me $0.01 lol. So someone with experience what would you say? Would you recommend anyhting else?

This is a very low CTR, so there is room for improvement.

I'd remove the border on the ads, and match the ad link color to the general page link color (darker blue).
I'd also add a 468*60 ad unit right before the "Attached files" box on this page for example: http://customizepsp.co.uk/?p=274

Try and tell us if it worked ! :)

You can try testing the ads placement to the center, nearer and within the actual content.

Maybe near your "download" link would be best.

Ok thanks guys, and yes I have always had an extremely low CTR. I will try your suggestions.

EDIT: Ok thankyou guys. I have done all of your suggestions. I added a 468x60 before the download on the first post, but I guess i will have to remove it when I make a new post as otherwise I would have too many ads. I will see what my results are like tomorrow for this channel. Thanks

You can probably do something clever with the ads : you move them so that they always appear on the ad space which is currently on the screen of the user.

i.e. you add ad placeholders right before each download link and you have a javascript look at the scrolling position of the page and put the ad in the correct placeholder so that the user sees it :)
