I'm running a 3 ghz w/ 1 g ram on dsl connection so I don't know what the deal is.

I just played it again. In FF is plays smooth for me. In IE it kind of stutters at the end.

Interesting, thanks for the feedback. Runs great on FF and won't play in IE for me. MIA, what version of MAC OS are you running?

The latest and the greatest, 10.4.3.

This was on a 1Ghz ibook 14.1" with 640MB RAM, fyi. Lastest version of FF for the Mac.

Who knows though, FF lately has been the worst browser in my aresenal. It truely sucks on the Mac. (It didn't always)

It is slow, it pukes out, hates java, hates flash, tabs go blank on it, it takes over the machine at times. And whenever Mail is being checked in the background, it stops running.

So again, who knows. Could just be FF. What happens to these programs? They start our fast and stable, and after a few revsions end up more bloated and crappy than IE?

I still like FF though :) Go figure.

YMMV Maybe it's just me? I know for a fact that every Mac I have disabled SpotLight and Dashboard on has come to life with a vengance! I've disabled Spotlight on my home iBook, but not Dashboard yet. I am still trying to find some use for it.

Anyway, I would not be discouraged from the Mac in any capacity. Especailly not over FireFox. I still use it before anything else. Safari is next, then Mozilla, then NetScape, then, if I can find a copy, IE... :)

    Again, YMMV.
