    I think the placement is good, but I guess it depends on your ctr. ??
    Could always try changing the adsense titles to Blue

    Try Link Units instead of Ad Units, in my experience they have better CTR.

    it sure can, try a 336x280 instead of your 468x60 on top.
    Also have another 336x280 at the bottom of your content.

    Then on the right column, don't let this adsense bloc so far down the page, put it up so it is visible at first sight.

    Finally, add adsense search and adlinks.

    I won't tell you how to put the adlinks, first do what I said and then come back, if you don't do what I say, then I'm not going to continue helping you out.
