I have a dog training blog (http://atrickaday.blogspot.com/) and I just put AdSense on it: what do you think about it?

Including pictures of the dog doing the trick is a nice touch.

Many people like to include an adsense ad at the top or bottom of the first 2 posts, and then include a skyscraper on the side like you have now. The idea is that the reader is more likely to click on an ad if it's embedded/blended into the narrative.

ads they blend well and nicely with the current theme, but there should be a slight correction i think that is needed, The links are down and below the ad units instead bring them up and take the ad units down.

Rest looks ok to me, If this doesnt work you may consider using other ad layouts like Large Rectangle or a banner size ad unit,..

Wow, the color is, er, wow. I'm getting sea-sick. P.S. Two skys in a roll is a bit obnoxious, don't you think? My suggestion is to put the "recent post" listing at the very top, Google sky ad after it, archive listing next, then if you absolutely must (though I would advise against it) put the second sky after that.
