    A teacher was teaching English in a school
    where students had low grade for English.

    One student from the east was in the class.
    His problem was how to say out proper sentence
    in English.

    "Why are you here boy?" the teacher asked.

    The student answered, "me grade english low.."

    Other students started to stare at him...

    "look me not like that, see me grade english
    so low..., i see noting but low graded english
    every result..." added the student.

    "Okay pupils, what he was trying to say
    was how low his english grade was.." the
    teacher said with a smile to all students.

    Then this student from the east added
    with a conclusion, "English is hard.. Me
    don't know what answer.."

    "What is the question?" asked the teacher.

    This student stood up and went to the
    black board and wrote this;

    "Please answer this question in either YES or NO."
    "_____, I don't have a brain."

    "So, friends and teacher, me know want
    to answer, me brain here.." the student said
    while pointing at his head.

    The whole class was dumped to silence!

    either way, yes or no. it comes to the conclusion in the second part of the sentence, he is saying he doesn't have a brain. doesn't mather if you say yes or no :D

    I agree with klaas. Yes would confirm it, but no could merely be taken as an initial statement and the next part would just be backing it up. It's not like double negatives in other situations

    exactly! the yes or no, will depend on a previous question like, "do you have a brain?" or "don't you have a brain?", but either way, the answer is the same, he doesn't have a brain.
