Can you identify the CMS in this site?

Many reputed journal publication sites use this CMS. I have not been able to identify the CMS, can someone please identify and tell me?

Ok, I saw the site. It is a portal for many journals... But what's that CMS? Is there any information about that there? I could not find... sorry if I missed.

I don't think so... It looks like a commercial CMS, that those sites are using.

 

Read the "For Publishers" section of the HighWire site. It appears to be a custom CMS they developed specifically for peer-reviewed journals.

 

Oh, yeah. Thank you... that is disappointing for me, I was hoping that it may be a commercial/ open source CMS...

Oh no... It is definitely not Joomla. I am a Joomla add-on developer and I can recognize Joomla from 10 miles

It is not as user-friendly as Joomla. That's my opinion after spending a few hours with it...

I have used Joomla (formerly Mambo) extensively and experimented a lot too with it... Have also released many modules and templates for that in my sites....

Have also used Drupal sometime back.

I would say, for the novice user Joomla is the best. Drupal is not as user-friendly as Joomla.

I have read a lot about other CMS. Many seem promising. But have not tried e107 yet.

 

I'd have to vote for plone here. Plone's not for a beginner. Although it's hard for me to tell how it compares to Joomla, from a beginner's perspective. I lost my beginner perspective a long time ago (esp in terms of Internet Eons).

I still have not found another free, high-end CMS that compares to plone. If you're relatively [FSVO 'relatively'] technically competent, the installation's painless...assuming your web host gives you the rights you need (don't try plone on a free host!) ezPublish is one of the few free (or non-free, for that matter) alternatives that offers the same features out of the box.

Python is (let's avoid the religious arguments, please...I know this statement may be considered troll bait) one of the most usable programming languages out there, if you have to write an extension. If nothing else, it's harder to write bad code in python than just about any other language.

Plone's not the answer to every problem. But it is the best high-end CMS I've found.
