Can't get rid of PSA's, Tried everything.

Discussion in 'Placement / Reviews / Examples' started by huntingblades, Jan 24, 2006.

I have read and tried everything I could find about getting rid of the PSA's, short of putting up alternate ads. I have rewritten pages, checked for flagged words and phrases, put in the <!-- google_ad_section_start --> tags. Nothing seems to work, after checking the Adsense Sandbox tool on Digital Point, I believe Google has relevant adds.

Anyone have tips that have worked for them in the past?

    Thank you ahead of time.

What is your site address? Maybe we can take a look and find the problem. Many of us have been through this problem before.

Very nice site BTW. I'll revisit it soon.

I didn't look at the entire site, but Google has a problem with certain words such as "death", "kill", "butchered", "murder" and will present only PSA ads. Typically, in my experience, this doesn't affect the entire site, just the pages where the "violations" occur.

I know, because I had a car insurance page that used the word "killed" a few times and I couldn't get rid of the PSA ads -- until I learned later about the banned words. Once I removed the words, PSAs disappeared instantly.

Maybe just the word "knives" is a problem -- but I don't know.

    Mike,

I also see relevant ads on all of the article pages.

Maybe its a geo issue? - I'm in the SE U.S.

Sometimes if the same IP is resquesting a page within a very short period, PSA are served. Have you tried using alternate ads?

I did read somwhere that Google may serve PSA's if you are on the computer logged to the account, any truth to this?

Medusa and Netwise, I will look into serving alternative adds, can you suggest any good alternative programs?

Bubblejet, my Adsense is on my article and recipe pages, top toolbar to find them.

    Thank you all,

    Mike

I see now what you are talking about.
This page: http://www.huntingblades.com/firearmsafety.html will only display PSAs.

    ahearn may have it right

You may want to drop a note asking them to give you some guidance.

Ok, now I've found them and they are relevant ads not PSA. Seems fine to me.

Looks like your PSAs are back (5:00 pm EST). Very strange indeed. Did you change anything since your last post? Just curious.
