Can't get the right kinds of adds to appear

Hi Everyone,
I'm having trouble getting the type of adds I want to appear on one of my doorway pages. I was targeting the phrase "credit card" and I got it to appear once. But then the ads changed to doors, clothing and singles sites. Are high paying adds hard to get displayed on your site? Should I give up on it or is there something I'm missing?

I have the phrase "credit cards" appearing about 12 times, but if I mention anything else once, adds like that appear.

 

content is king. your ads will reflect the kind of CONTENT you have on the pages. Doorway pages for a site are a bad idea in general, I would get rid of it. the ads being displayed are a direct reflection of your content. write about what you want and the ads will play nice with it.

 

Hows this for odd. If I change the article's name or directiory, the first time I visit it I get credit card adds. If I hit the refresh button on that page I get the garbage adds from then on. Can anyone explain that?

Now it is steady on the good adds when I refresh. Very confused now.

 

It doesn't happen automatically. Sometimes it takes time for the ad quality to become consistant with the content simply because the spiders need to crawl your pages to see what the content actually says. Ads become regular within a few days, from my past experience.
