Car Site - Out of Ideas - Need help

    I have an auto related site which I started as a spin off from a local auto site that we run during my early days of SEO enlightenment to prove a point to one of my colleagues. Its most successful run was quite good earning around USD40 a day on adsense alone.

    Its gone a bit downhill from there as I have been busy on other stuff and the main problem being I am not very interested in Cars.

    I have spent a bit of resources and time on the site and dont really want to let it die and don't really want to sell it at the current 10x revenue as it doesnt really justify the potential, earning below USD10 a day now.

    So the question is what to do. I dont want to and cant spend much time on it. I tried to outsource the running of the site to others without much success.

    I suppose I am posting to see if there are any good suggestions and if anyone can see a good co-operation venture in this. The site is in my sig and is a general auto site. Obviously it ranks quite well SEO wise as thats what we do and even now it gets around 500 uniques a day.

    Anyways ... thanks in advance for any help on this.

    Well, I am really into cars, as you can clearly see by the username I have chosen - lol, and I would suggest like the poster above to install a forum, it can attract lots of users and almost run itself. Not only that, but you will get a ton of repeat users too!

    It looks like he already has a forum...

    Have you searched through the forum to see if there are any current "needs". I don't know much about cars, but is there any free online tools / look up stuff you could offer?

    Have you tried any affiliate marketing?

    What about a newsletter? Perhaps you have some motivated comunity posters who would write an article for the newsletter. Or you could send periodic polls out (an indirect way to remind them that the forum is there).

    Yeah, we have a forum already but not much activity even when it was getting well over one thousand daily uniques. Maybe I over diverisified. How do you get car enthusiasts to post!!!!....

    Affiliate marketing - will probably put some on there to take advantage of the traffic.
