I am sure that this thread is going to be great publicity for them, I bet I get unbanned by the time it is over and you will be the leading poster in this thread and will also be posting over there!

Actually, ysfs1 paid me at $1,000 and three PR9 backlinks to post it. And oh yeah, he promised to put all of this on his blog ... but there is still NO mention of "alek's story" anywhere on his site, so I have a bone to pick with him. Just kidding on all of that for the humor impaired. In the meantime, here's my version of the events:

1. I saw yfs1's blog post, read it, found it interesting, and PM'd him "Fall of SEO Chat - That was a darn good writeup - very interesting, factual (not slinging mud), and informative to other forum folks. Has it been posted in DP ... and if not, I'd like to do so if OK with you." and he said it was OK so I did.

2. A day later, I PM'ed yfs1 and said "Lotta good discussion ... so figured this was worth tossing into DIGG and Shoutwire ... yours is a great writeup."

Per some of this discussion here, yfs1 has some great points/insights into Internet social communities that I think is of generic interest.

After all you were the one that made the claim that it was all done to garner traffic, then jumped in on the game to get some for yourself with posts of little value
