ChangeFreq Element

    Hi,

    I have purchased a sitemap generator which gives every file a ChangeFreq value of daily, on the site, some pages are updated that regularly and some pages aren't.

    I could go through and change each one manually but that could take a very long time.

    Can anybody advise the best way to combat this situation? If for example I submitted every page as being updated daily, would Google have a adverse view on this?

    You could consider leaving out the tag completely.

    It is difficult/impossible to calculate a perfect ChangeFreq
    for all pages (although quite good is possible).

    However, if all pages are just set to the same value,
    well, then I suggest you leave out the tag.
