Changing nameserves at GoDaddy taking a VERY long

A few days ago I bought a domain name (.dk) at GoDaddy, and I bought the hosting from HostGator, then on Monday the 4th, around 12:40 am I changed the nameservers on GoDaddy to the ones I got mailed to me from HostGator, and now, 92 hours later, it still just says "Pending" / "Awaiting registar" on GoDaddy's site. What should I do? Apparantly it's only supposed to take up to 48 hours.

It should not take anywhere near 48 hours. DNS propagation can take minutes to a few hours. There is no way to tell how long it will take, but 48 hours is too much. I have never been a fan of keeping your DNS at your web host because or DNS propagation issues. Go Daddy provides DNS. You could just update your DNS records at GD to point your A Records and MX record to your IP address. Then if you need to change IP addresses, you can change it and it will be reflected immediately without DNS propagation issues (although some ISPs may have the old IP address cached). You can also update your DNS TXT records with your server's DKIM and SPF info.

Otherwise, you are going to have to do some testing to find out what the problem is then contact support if necessary. Search Yahoo for DNS checker or DNS tools and you can find sites like this:

    http://zoneedit.com/lookup.html

Run a check on your domain name and see what DNS records are returned. It is possible that your DNS may be fine but your ISP is caching the DNS info for a very long period of time, but not likely.

Also try accessing your website through a proxy. If you can access it through a proxy, then the problem is with your DNS.

Looking up my domain name on http://zoneedit.com/lookup.html returned nothing, same with http://anonymouse.org/anonwww.html
I'm pretty sure the problem is the fact that on GoDaddy, my domain's status is still marked as "Awaiting update" ever since I changed the nameservers about 4,5 days ago.

That is strange. I would suggest contacting GoDaddy support, perhaps they can "put it through" manually on their side.

You should call GoDaddy and check what's wrong. I have 20+ domains registered at GD and most of these are hosted elsewhere. It never took more than 48 hours for DNS change, in most cases it was done within 24 hours.
