i've seen several reviews that say they charge hidden fees after some months......otherwise it's good since there's no startup fee like clickbank.

charge.com uses cardservice international as their processor.

I personally do not recommend card service to any of my customers, but others at this forum do.

One of the main issues I have with cardservice is that they charge a processing fee for charges and returns. Basically, if you have a customer return something you get charged to credit back their card.

Personally I recommend signing up for a Nova merchant account. They have the best support on the back end and allow for business growth better than any other processor I have ever seen.

It all depends on where you are located. I think charge.com is owned by a different company now. But Cardservice is owned by First Data and they are the largest processor in the United States - making them very reliable.

I use Loud Commerce and they are a reseller for Cardservice. Cardservice is in the top 20 ISOs in the United States. I chose them for that reason, I knew they would be stable and reliable. Chase is the largest ISO, also using First Data.

I actually spoke with Chase in the beginning, but they told me it would take two weeks to get set up and Loud Commerce had me set up in three days (I was requesting more than $30,000 a month and it took a couple of days for them to review our financials).

As far as cardservice goes, if they are the back-end processor you may never have any problems. caliguy80 uses cardservice through loadcommerce and seems to be happy, but that definitely can be credited to the company that he is signed up with.

Charge.com doesn't have any major unanswered BBB problems, but I can find plenty of negative reveiws elsewhere, so you should probably be careful if you do decide to go with them.
