Chnaging my site completly, worried!

    Ok i bought this new site now which is a forum.

    Now i'm thinking to convert/use it as a blog.

    Completly change everything, site is on Vbulletin now, goin to use wordpress.

    + I have a blog, which has got 1400+ posts. I'm goin to use this old blog's DB and shut down the same old site and continue with my new site.

    So my question is, is it alright to use my old blog's DB. Will it cause any trouble in future, any other disadvantages.

    Please let me know.
