Choosing my business model.

Hello folks...

I started a project couple weeks a go... and post in the markething forums.
What i wanted to do was a freelancing directory/network; but maybe this main focus will change...


The question i ask here now is...

What kind of service will you like to have from a new website?

The idea was to build a free lancing directory... where people sign in an build a profile..
profiles where going to be indexed in categories and so on.... and basically anyone had the option to search by zipcode, profesion, name, rank or any other parameter...
The service will be completly free...

the thing is... i have no database... i mean... im building this from none.
so i was thinking to give out email, briefcase, blogspot and probably web hosting... but to be honest... all that shit are free in other sites so... why people will sign in on mine?
then i post some threat on the marketing forum... since this project is personal (only me involved) i want to check any marketing prosibility as cheap as posible... but some guys said like... there's a lot of competence on that area and so and so that made me think if i should rescheme the hole idea.

 

if google had that mindset, we'd still be stuck using altavista and yahoo only.

all the big web 2.0 sites grew virially.. so u gotta be different.

 

First you need to make a vision and mission statement. For more info i have management articles (sorry, i know it is self-promotion).
