I used the logo because it fit well with the name of the site. United Nations represents the world. The world has conflicting views.

Independent of your reasons, I don't think that United Nations appreciates that you are using their logo on your web site. The use of an organization logo implies that you are associated with United Nations and I can not imagine that you are. The logo is part of their intellectual property rights and as a defender of law and order, I don't suppose you support the misuse of trademarks.

To make it more clear, you can not use Microsoft logo or call yourself Microsoft because you have window OS on your computer or your forum is about Microsoft products.
