Circles on photo edits in photoshop

When I have edited some of my photos in photoshop I get faint cirles over the image. I think it is with adjustment layers.

can anyone suggest the reason?

Does this only happen when you save as .jpg or is it noticeable in the .psd as well?
Exactly what filters/ adjustments are being used?
Are these images scanned in or are they uploaded from camera/ card?
Some more info and we might be able to narrow the problem down a bit...

=P seriously though, are all your source photos from a single source? If so it's possible that they all have that slight problem that shows it's self clearer when you adjust them.

If not, check all your layers first of all. Then check all your masks, maybe you somehow have an adjustment layer with a funky circles layer mask for some reason? I know it's far fetched.

It's not your adjustment layers, the "Background copy" layer has it. Which means you must have somehow made these circles when adjusting Background copy.

I attached an image of what happens when I disable all adjustment layers, adjust Background with curves, and then adjust background copy with curves.

We know it's not from the source(eg. scanning) since "Background" doesn't have them. Can you explain your workflow for adjusting "Background copy"? Because I'm pretty certain that the problem lies there.

 

yeh i did notice it was on only one of the layers when i looked. the thing that made me worried was that it happened on a few photos that i did. i will try and work out when it happens next time.
