    Is cloud hosting is better that any other Hosting?
    If the user want a hosting plan to use it for a small E-commerce business, cloud hosting is suitable for him?

    Cloud hosting is a new breed in the hosting industry, and it's biggest advantage is that you have to only pay for what you use.
    If you plan to use it for e-commerce business, then you are on right track. Since you can never predict the traffic volume at any stage, it is better to use cloud hosting services which are flexible enough to accommodate traffic spikes and it will be a perfect deal with paying only if the traffic comes to your site.

    Cloud hosting by its essence and definition is something that very few companies are actually offering. In most places its just a glorified VPS with an extra virtualization, nothing more. So one cannot really compare Cloud Hosting to any other type of hosting, not really.

    E-commerce websites aren't THAT different than most types of websites so there isn't really any special formula for them. You simply need to choose a host that can not only take care of your baby-website, but have enough good and easy options for upgrading as the baby grows. Many times its absolutely enough to start on a Shared plan, move to higher ones, to Semi-Dedicated, to VPS and to Dedicated Servers as the needs grow. ;)

    There is very little difference between a CloudVPS and any old VPS that you could find elsewhere. Not many hosting providers that market their services as being within the "Cloud" are being completely honest. Cloud servers can be very expensive, mainly billed at an hourly rate, but even at a monthly rate have prices that are much higher than that of a traditional VPS. On top of that, not many Cloud hosts include Bandwdith with their packages, so you could end up paying a lot more in the long run for the same service you would pay a fraction of the price for. I am not saying go with the cheapest host you can find either, because that would be a horrible mistake.

    The cloud is primarily intended for enterprise level customers who see tens of millions of views per month and need that added capability of failover and scalability, however for most companies a more traditional solution may be the most suitable.

    Cloud hosting is good but for a small ecommerce site I would choose a good vps.
    You can also start with shared hosting and later upgrading to vps.

    Cloud Hosting is a very good concept for all types of business providers. But since e-commerce industry is involved you have to keep security in mind so you can go for any Cloud hosting plans along with a SSL certificate for the website so that all the transactions are secure and also you can get some anti- hacking software that are generally provided by the hosting companies itself.

    Coud is actually a pseudo name that sit in-front of visualization with most hosting I would say! There is no performance advantage that it can offer than a dedicated server with attached storage or a VPS which is not hosted on an oversold node and with a good performing storage. Scaling resources is available with most of the major VPS control panels; of course auto-scaling and auto-recover are very useful feature for websites which expects traffic for certain hours but there is no or a few hosts offering it properly. One down side with the cloud hosting is its cost; it is high compared to regular hosting. If you are looking for a shared hosting solution, there is no need just to look around for Cloudhosting; it cannot offer anything magical than a dedicated server for shared hosting. For VPS, its your choice - still an SSD VPS can perform good with less costs and you can scale resources manually based on demand. Make sure to find a host, which can scale resources based on demand if you are looking for it.

    The best thing to do is define the term "cloud" - it will vary vastly from provider to provider. Some have complex infrastructures in place, scalable, fault tolerance, high availability etc. Some merely throw a plan old VPS onto a hypervisor and also call it cloud. According to NIST's definition of cloud computing though, neither of them are really wrong so it really depends on your needs.

    It really depends on a combination on what your needs and expectations are for your company. If you are a small E-businees just starting to get your feet wet, then a good VPS wouldn't be a bad place to start. But as we see with many of the companies we host, if you are expecting or poised to grow, cloud hosting would be your best option because it offers scalability to allow you to easily grow or shrink your cloud as determined by your business, redundancy to protect your information from hardware failure, and if you choose to have a dedicated cloud server it allows you the comfort of knowing that only you have access to that specific cloud.

    A cloud type of hosting is where your data is not only hosted in one server but in several physical servers. Thus, eliminating downtime on websites as when a server goes down the other servers can still run with your data on it. The faulty server can be repaired or upgraded without downtime. This is the reason why it costs a bit higher than a normal hosting where your data is stored only in one server. Cloud hosting utilises several servers. This is ideal for a busy e-commerce website/s specially if you don't want any trouble even for one day and don't want to lose any sales etc.

    On cloud your website is hosted on several servers connected to work as one.

    Let me clear you difference between Shared hosting and Cloud.
    In shared hosting there is one machine and many websites hosted there. If one site is vulnerable, there is possibility that complete machine can be vulnerable. If that machine is crashed. Your data can be lost.
    While in Cloud hosting, you're unaware which machine hosted your website. Your data presents more than one machine. Your data isn't restricted to only one machine. In this way, if one machine is down, your data cannot be lost.
    Cloud hosting is up trending nowadays.
    There are many cloud hostings like Dreamhost, Bluehost, Cloudways and the list goes on.
    If you're unaware of coding, optimization of your store. You might want to use 1-click installation of your store. And for optimization and best performance, use a hosting like Cloudways, which has advanced cached technologies like NGNIX, Varnish and Memcached that can boost you page load performance.

    Good luck !

    Cloud hosting can be cheaper

    Cloud hosting offers better "scalability " then a traditional metal box

    it depends on the traffic and the size of your inventory. sometimes you want redundancy and sometimes easy management. for a small business like 20 to 30 visitors on an instance, even a shared server can handle that. but as you grow you need more resource, for redundancy go for cloud and easy management go for dedicated server in future. however, as a start try using a shared hosting service. It will clear your confusion.
    Good luck.

    The important aspects to consider are:
    1) cost (cloud solutions tend to be cheaper);
    2) data ownership (with hosted solutions you are the lord of the data);
    3) data security (more privacy issues arise with SaaS solutions);
    4) disaster recovery (in most cases IaaS provides for reliable backup and recovery features, while with SaaS you usually have only a SLA to fall back on);
    5) customization (with your own platform you are the developer, while with SaaS you depend on your provider for upgrades and custom features)
    To crown it all, cloud hosting is cheaper and easier, while a hosted solution is more expensive and harder to maintain, but provides you more freedom.

    There are three big ways the cloud beats on premises infrastructure: utilization, scalability, and technology lifecycle costs. Essentially, pay what you get for, grow bigger when you need to, and get more up-to-date tech. Sounds good, right? This is a good post from a company I work with looking at why the cloud provides a lot of great opportunities, even for companies that don't know they need it. https://www.steadfast.net/blog/if-your-company-successful-without-cloud-infrastructure-why-change

    One of the largest benefits of cloud hosting and storage is the ability to scale up or down the amount of storage you need without investing in physical hardware. That being said there are advantages and disadvantages to both cloud and on premise storage. Here is a useful infographic I found that helps explain the benefits of both
