    I am from northern Minnesota, we are going to start local fundraiser project for high schools students in our area. there are 40+ schools going to participate on this project . idea is local community and teachers request artwrok for their projects and business, and students submit their artwork to website. later, locals and teachers select best art work for their projects.

    this website only cater local community and has standard size niche , can anyone help me to find good CMS for this project

    Joomla, Drupal, Expression Engine can all handle that. Depends on what kind of budget you have and the amount of participation with End Users.

    I'd start with Expression Engine, which is an inexpensive paid CMS, simply because you'll have access to support.

    Will each school have their own site? If so, Drupal has great multi-site functionality where they share the application, but have their own content DB etc.
