CMS for photo site

Discussion in 'Content Management' started by Dji-man, Jul 18, 2005.

Does anyone knows a good and simple CMS for a photo site? I'm looking for one that would automatically generate low-res thumbnails from large, high-res photos.

I know tikiwiki does it, but it is a bit too complicated for this site. And I don't want to have to support it, so it has to have a foolproof admin interface.

    thanks

Search for "image gallery script", "image gallery program", "image gallery php" etc. Good luck :)

I know drupal has an image module that will do what you said (galleries + thumbnails etc).

If you happen to have phpbb setup there is a nice Album hack I have used that works great and also does that you said.

If you didn't need a CMS I would recommend the Gallery Project (gallery.sourceforge.net)

    Good Luck :D

I'd recommend Coppermine anytime. Gallery is also good though.

I second this recommendation. Joomla is easy enough to setup and the integration with Gallery2 has already been done there. If later you want to add a forum, SMF will also integrate straight in.
