Cms or static html??? For a information diet site?

    Hello,
    I want to switch over from a static html site to a CMS or something similar so that I can update content to my pages on a daily basis. see my site to get an idea www.diet-health-nutrition.org Because of the cumbersome nature of the layout I am wasting a lot of time on layout tweaking etc which could be well invested in writing content.

    Please gimme a good suggestion.

    CMS is definitely the best way. I would reccommend Joomla at www.joomla.com You can read a lot about it in this forum. I use Joomla and am very happy.

    I am confused about what CMS to opt for. Joomla seems to be pretty good but I think it is very complex to handle and learn. I came across the another CMS i.e. websitebaker. Which one of these is better? I mean in appearance and learning curve, etc?
    I also tried XOOPS but it is very complex and beyond my reach. I think I should experiment with these offline using wampserver or the uniform server and try to go online.

    Once you go over 50 pages, CMS is the way to go. If you constantly updating with more information and new articles you must go for a CMS.

    You can also leverage the best of both sides, by implementing a cache similar to mine:
    Website Cache
    Currently its turned off, but it has the capability to auto generate html files from my CMS and intelligently redirecting the user without him knowing. The advantage is obviously that this can sustain a much higher user load.

    Now that said, I have my websites running on Drupal. I just upgraded the Travel Guides site and changed the look and feel. Drupal has everything you need, some of the best modules available and a completly different idea that all other CMS. It uses a very powerfull concept of taxonomy that makes it far superior to all other CMS (in my eyes that is). I couldn't have done the Travel Guides site as easily with Joomla.
    On the photo website most nodes look like html files (urls). This is just the Search Engine Friendlyness of Drupal turned on. I know Joomla has a similar module, but it is not nearly as powerfull and not integrated into the core.

    yes using dynamic page is more efficient than static html
