i have been browsing this site couple weeks and joined today , one thing i have noticed is that most people here are either selling .com & net etc . Whats wrong with buying .co.uk ???

There is nothing wrong with .co.uk if you target UK market.

But if your French or Indian and target french, Indian or international markets there is no need of .co.uk.

.com is great for overall markets.

If you are targetting a UK market, then I would buy the .co.uk, but also I would buy the .com, and point it to the .co.uk

    Just my thoughts

Well, you can sell the .co.uk domain names anywhere. I don't think there is a restriction here.

Typically, the .com and .net domain names are Global Based domain names and the co.uk is UK based. So if you are just chiefly targetting the UK audience or the European Audience or that you are a UK based business, the co.uk domains would fit you nicely.

A number of us here are not from the UK so we do not quite use the .co.uk domain names. I do however have one for a mirror site which I used in the UK.
