collect opinions:What kind of prize would expect for a campaign?

We are about to start a campaign online,
and I‘d like to collect some opinions about prizes
because we don't have any ideas.
Were you involved,
what kind of prize would you expect for our online campaign?
iPad？Or sth else.

 

I guess that it really depends upon what needs to be done to "win" the prize and also who the target market is. The more "work" that needs to be done to win the prize, the larger it should be (in terms of monetary value.) What the prize should be depends upon what will motivate the people you are trying to attract. For example, if you are trying to attract an elderly audience, it would not make sense to offer a skateboard as a prize. Withouth more details about your campaign, it will be difficult to provide any real help with your question.

Yes, trust will be a big issue. I am offered "prizes" all of the time if I just fill out a survey, participate in this or that, etc. They tend to all start looking alike and I quickly delete such offers. The one's that I am quickest to delete are do such and such and "...you will be entered in a drawing to win X." Complete waste of time, in my opinion.

I agree.. You have to establish credibility first. You must also consider your target audience and your purpose, why are you having this sort of "contest" or "giveaways". This is for your own good. You must make sure that your goals will be met, you'll be spending $$$ here..

If the survey is for a vendor or organization that I know and trust, I may take the survey either because it may benefit me (better products, better service, etc.) or because it may benefit a supplier that I like and want to stick around. The only other time that I have taken surveys is when there is a guaranteed reward that I am interested in. For example, many years ago, AmEx gave me $150 to meet with one of their reps in a coffee shop and discuss my travel needs (I was a road warrior then.) Another time a survey group paid me $100 plus parking to go to their offices to do a focus group on bank services. Being entered into a lottery to potentially win a prize does not do it for me, anyway.
