    Ok, here's a tough one.

Does anyone know of a program that will time the amount of time people spend working.

    For example.

If the user is in outlook/dreamweaver/internet explorer then the clock is ticking.

If the user is in msn/games/other the clock stops.

To time and pay staff / hour.

I don't care if people play games all day, but I'm not paying for it :)

    Hope it makes sense...

The program if created wouldn't be full proof. What if the user minimized dreamweaver and plays the game. Also what if he is playing flash games on IE :D or how are you going to explain to him when he says... Where is my money.. Are you going to tell him you have this "tracker".. then he would do everything to avoid it, or quit.

If you employ people and delegate your work that would be a neat little tool. never heard of it before though.

It's kinda drastic but I guerss that will improve productivity during working ours. Employees usually have their breaktimes to relax, play games and surf the net but sometimes they tend to consume even those working hours.

why not install a system so you can check what they are doing... sometimes someone just plays a game to relax and after that go back to work again, with a more relaxing mood. I'm doing also doing this, when i'm working. Playing just a small short game or something.

We pay some people by the hour, they work off site, it's more of a tool to help them.

They work, play, do weird hours.

So if we had a kid in a room at home, they CAN msn/play/mess about and it doesn't matter.

It times what they bill us for.

Hope it makes sense and sheds some more light.
