Confused About Using Firefox.

Completely agree with this. I really like firefox, but it keeps taking more and more memory and after a long time browsing you'll need to restart it or it will slow down the computer (right now it's using 54mb of resources for 2 tabs).

This is something I was expecting to be fixed on the last release as I think is REALLY a problem, but unfortunately it didn't. I hope they'll do soon.

 

Hasn't happened with me with even 20 tabs sometime. Are you sure there's not some other problem?

 

I am not a fan of firefox either.
Although can someone here tell me how to delete the "temporary files" from browsers memory in firefox?
It's in Tools menu in IE but am not able to find it in firefox.

The "memory leak" problem has been reported many times. Some people find that removing certain FF addons will resolve the problem. Others report it even with just a basic installation. To be fair to Firefox, that must make it more difficult to debug the thing, but on the other hand it is a real and not uncommon problem that has been widely reported.

 

In new versions, you simply go to Tools --> Clear Private Data.
In the older versions, it is somewhere in the options I think.

 

I'm sure its firefox. It's not about the number of tabs, it's about how long ha it been running with out restarting the program. And it happened also with the last version.

It could be one of the plugins I use but I'm too lazy to disable of all them and try (anyway, I really can't live with any of those missing!). I must say that this also happened when I was using no plugins at all with the other version.

I know I'm not the only one having this issue with Firefox, but to be truth I do not care too much. I just need to restart it every X hours, which helps me to take some breaks.
