    There are only just a few good social networking scripts around.
    Actually 3 well known and solid, they exist for many years already and have good support too and private forums.

    It's not a good idea using a cms to create a dating site, there are advanced dating scripts better google "dating script" I'm sure you will find one just you need...

    Try out Joomla and then search for Dating Website Addons which are really working fine and better than stand-alone Dating Scripts.

    I just created one and used worpdress because the client want to have some content area to post dating tips & coaching. Paid membership pro & buddypress have everything you need. I used a theme called "sweetdate" that had buddypress & paidmembership pro included. I found a youtube video that explained everything in detail on the setup so it was pretty easy.

    Only problem I had was with the spam bots but found info from the buddypress forums on how to prevent that.
    Probably not the best way to go but I was trying to help the client out after they were screwed over by another developer that didn't deliver after getting paid so this was quick & easy for me and didn't charge much for it.

    The client liked it because it was in wordpress and easy for them to maintain & update.
